As of June 2012, there are only 3 speech pathology schools in the Philippines:
University of the Philippines Manila (UP Manila)
UP Manila Compound, Pedro Gil Street, Malate
BS in Speech Pathology (4-year course)
- Administered by the College of Allied Medical Professions
This program offers courses in basic anatomy, physiology and development of swallowing, speech, and hearing mechanisms.
Note from UP Manila:
Starting this school year 2012-2013 until 2015-2016, the Speech Pathology Department will not accept shiftees, transferees, and second degree applicants to this program.
University of Santo Tomas (UST)
Sampaloc, Manila
BS in Speech–Language Pathology (5-year course)
- Administered by the UST College of Rehabilitation Sciences
BS in Speech-Language Pathology is a 5-year course composed of 2 years of general education courses, 2 years of professional courses, and 1 year of clinical internship.
Cebu Doctors' University
1 Dr. P.V. Larrazabal Jr.Avenue
North Reclamation, Mandaue City, Cebu
Bachelor in Speech-Language Pathology (5-year course)
- Administered by the College of Rehabilitative Sciences
It's a 5-year course launched in June 2012.
The Cebu Doctors' University website says that it's the first school outside Manila to offer this course. In fact, after searching online, I found that it's the first school within or outside Manila to offer BS in Speech Pathology aside from UP and UST. So there are only 3 schools in the Philippines offering BS in Speech Pathology.
As of January 2011, only the speech pathology courses offered by UP Manila and UST are recognized by the Philippine Association of Speech Pathologists (PASP).
